Additionally, Blake is active within the northeast regional design community. He is on the board of A Better City, serves as VP of Advocacy for the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), co-chairs the BSA Committee on the Environment (COTE),  and is adjunct faculty at the Boston Architectural College.

He is a designer with an understanding of how to integrate cost-effective sustainable design concepts into various building typologies. He has managed the integration and documentation for projects seeking 3rd party certifications, as well as consultation to partner firms needing such experience. He has also been instrumental in business development efforts where sustainable design is a driver, authoring proposals and taking part in interviews.

Blake earned his B-Arch from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA his M-Arch in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association Graduate School in London, UK, has over twelve years of experience in retail, hospitality, higher education, healthcare, labs, and commercial structures, and is a prolific writer and presenter.
